Mountainview Resources was founded by Steven Frankel, an entrepreneur who enjoys working on challenging projects. We are two things at once: a journal for people working on the decarbonising economy, and a desk that raises capital to build out associated projects.
We write to think. Most of what ends up in the journal is a problem someone we trust is actively solving.
Net-zero brochures are easy. We are interested in operators who work on the ground.
Mountainview has raised capital for mining, energy and agri projects before. We do it again when the project deserves it — not as a service line.
A mine takes fifteen years. A season takes months. The capital we bring tries to match the timeline of the asset, not the quarter.
Critical minerals, tailings, decarbonised haul, social licence.
Wind, solar, storage, grid-edge, repower.
Soil carbon, sensing, irrigation, regenerative protocols.
Structuring, offtake, project finance, patient equity.
“The work is to extract what we need, with as little harm as the geology allows, and to fund the operators who treat that sentence as a constraint, not a slogan.”
